A downloadable game

Haveli is a quick paced survival horror game which helps you recreate the classic South Asian horror trope where you move into, or find a mansion and decide to take cover because of weather.
Even before you make it though, you might be tempted to investigate the tinkle of 'ghungrus' (bells attached to ankles) or encounter a woman in white, walking with her feet backwards, right in front of your car.

I have been a fan of south east asian horror movies as well and I think this is a great open-ended system to introduce folktales of your own cultural ownership into! I like horror which also communicates one's own cultural worldview, in a way that some of the other famous lovecraftian horror games might miss out on.

This RPG includes not only the rules, but setting ideas & reflections on what sets South Asian Horror apart from the more widely known genre of horror franchise cash-grabs xoxo.

What to expect:

  • A Posession Mechanic to keep players on their toes
  • Every time a player uses a skill, things get tougher and tougher.
  • Expect lots of laughs as horror and comedy are two sides of the same coin!
